Literature Text

Oft times I feel I must expound
My thinking.
I sing a song of El Gardine
And share a part of me.

But just as often (I believe)
I feel sad.
It's bad when I feel all alone
Adrift on sorrow's sea.

So poetry is like a ship.
Stay afloat!
I note the way it pleases me
To see my soul unfurled.

I bear my heart for all to see.
But for what?
Is not the heart a precious thing
To loose upon the world?

In bursts my heart cries out in bursts
Through my pen.
And then I rest, my soul appeased.
I breathe a gentle sigh.

My poems are a sweet release.
This is me!
I'll be loving life's poetry
Until the day I die.
Thanks to all my friends who enjoy poetry with me. You are a great encouragement, and inspiration.
